To fully demonstrate how the app will work, a small plan has been made, which helps to ensure that all the content I want to cover is included. The plan is as follows:
1. Highlight the UK food waste issue with stats and environmental info,
2. Explain the app concept and name in relation to the previous point,
3. Go through the main sections of the app, starting with the 'Food' section and ending with the 'Tracker' section. It should be clear as to how users add food, edit food, search for recipes and check their food waste behaviour.
4. Briefly explain the campaign and how the app would be promoted.
5. Outro.
Creative Conscience has no guidelines or maximum video length; therefore, I am able to produce a demonstration video that is thorough and not rushed. The pages created in the previous stage have been imported into After Effects and animated. Attention to IOS 11 transitions is key when animating to ensure that the app looks as realistic and professional as possible. Easy ease keyframes will be used a lot to make transitions look visually very smooth.
Once I animated the various sections of the video, I wrote a script. Josh was used to record a voiceover - he has a very clear voice, which was important, as the script is just under 3 minutes in length. To make the audio track feel less empty, a relaxed backing track was added. Sidechain compression ensured that his voice was not lost however.
Overall, this part of the process is difficult to explain as so many intricate details were made. The entire animation stage took 4 full days to complete, which took me slightly over my initial planned timetable; but, this allowed me to produce a video that is very clear and high in quality.
